Introduction to Cacao Pods

Introduction to Cacao Pods

Most people never see what comes before a cacao block, or even a drink.

And it's a shame, because it can help us appreciate cacao more fully!

Here's a guided intro to cacao pods, the fruiting bodies on a cacao tree that are the source of all chocolate.

It's typically only possible to see one of these in person near a farm. Nick was in Hawaii recently, the only U.S. state where cacao grows. And he found some pods at a farmers market.

Soul Lift Cacao believes in the importance of education, so that we can truly appreciate this magical superfood and the indigenous people who have kept ceremonial cacao traditions alive for millennia.
