Does not smell like Copal

Love Copal. This smells/burns clean- but smells like Nag Champa: will not purchase again

Hi Elizabeth, we're sorry to hear that you didn't like the copal incense sticks! We've tried many copal stick sources and love these. But we hear that it wasn't your experience. Please write to us on the Contact page if you're not happy with your order, so that we can help you find a solution. We're a very small, independent business, but always do what's possible to make customers happy when they come to us directly.

Copal Incense Sticks

I am VERY picky about the copal incense that I use, particularly during ceremonies, cleansings, and past life regression work. But this has quickly become one of my favorites. I will definitely be ordering more!

Excellent quality

I’ve been getting copal from Mexico for 20 years. This is excellent quality- long burning and rich scented. Worth the cost for sure !

CoPaL is AMAZING!!!

I love the power of Copal to cleanse, the Heart, Soul, and Home. It's so wonderful to have a local resource with access to having it made in a traditional manner that honors our brothers and sisters preparing it for us. The Love is as potent as the incense, in the Copal and at Soul Lift Cacao! Thank you so very much for an amazing visit.

Copal Incense

Copal is a sacred incense commonly used in Mayan spirituality and serves a similar "cleansing" purpose to sage or palo santo.

We have it in two forms...

  1. Artisanal incense sticks: made by hand in San Cristobal de las Casas, in the modern Mayan state of Chiapas, Mexico.
  2. Pure copal resin (photo coming soon): The sticky, unprocessed sap of the copal tree, harvested in Guatemala. The resin can be burned on hookah coals.

NOTE: The aroma and overall experience is quite different between the incense sticks and the pure resin.

The incense sticks can be burned like any incense.

The resin is most easily burned over hookah coals on a "copalero" or vaporized another way. The smoke and aroma are much thicker from the resin. It's the more traditional way copal was used in ceremonies.

Make your choice of type and quantity in the drop menu above!
