I had traveled to Costa Rica and had helped prepare cacao. It was wonderful to have it again. One review mentioned gumminess. I didn't have that all in the cacao I received. It scraped easily off block, had delicious undertones, and I definitely would order again. ¡Pura vida!

I usually have four or five different blocks of cacao at any given time. Betena has become one of my favorites from the very first cup. I just wanted to try cacao from Costa Rica and did not have any expectations. It is a perfect balance for the Heart of the Earth. Betena gives me a cozy feeling. It is not strong, but I definitely have a special connection with it. I find myself reaching for it more often than not. It will definitely be in my regular rotation.
I was very grateful to be recommended this course and guidebook by a friend, as I have been looking to learn more about cacao. I appreciate the depth and nature of information and that it is offered from an authentic perspective. The guidebook is perfect to accompany the course, and I am glad to have it to refer back to.
