So Delicious & Made with Love!

This is one my favorite cacao varieties from Soul Lift Cacao. It has a chocolatey flavor and is so calming and warming. As someone who is sensitive to caffeine, I like how it has minimal caffeine as well. You can tell this cacao is made with intention and love.

Love it so much can't try other kinds!

This paste doesn't need sweetener! I put a tiny bit of high grade dark agave and it's perfect. This is the second batch I've gotten and it is so good I can't bring myself to try any of the others. Maybe some day. . . .

Of all the flavors available from Soul Lift, this one is my favorite. I love it’s energy, very grounding, connected to mother earth. The flavor profile is velvety & chocolaty.

Chocolatey Goodness

I have tried many of the different cacao flavors from Soul Lift. In comparison to the others, this one tastes the most "traditionally" chocolate, like a regular cup of hot chocolate. It does have a slight malty or caramel note as stated in the description, nothing overwhelming. I enjoyed it.

This cacao originates near the mouth of the Lanquin River in Alta Verapaz. Stewarded by the Q'eqchi people, the beans are fermented and dried by a cooperative that unites isolated farmers, and prepared into paste by the Cacao Source women's collective at Lake Atitlan. Ulluawl offers a hint of caramel, slight tart flavor, and smooth energy. Cacao has been considered sacred in Mesoamerica for thousands of years, long before the chocolate industry altered the original treasure. It has numerous superfood benefits, and can also deepen introspective practices like yoga and meditation.

Every purchase of this cacao supports Mayan indigenous people through ethical direct trade, and helps them preserve their spiritual traditions and values. For more info about us and our partners, visit our Sources page.

DIRECTIONS
To make a drink of ceremonial cacao, finely chop the cacao. Measure 1/4 cup ground cacao and 6-8 oz of hot water (steaming but not boiling). Mix with a blender (with caution!), handheld frother, or other agitator to fully melt the cacao. Optional: Add a dash of cayenne pepper and natural sweetener to taste. Enjoy!

Cacao can also be added to smoothies, oatmeal, ice cream, and other foods. Experiment with making your own chocolates or bliss balls!
